حوار-مع-صديقى-الملحد
A conversation with my atheist friend
There is a period we go through and respond to materialistic others.

My friend is a man who loves to argue and loves to talk. He believes that we, the naive believers, feed on illusions and deceive ourselves with the promise of paradise and the pleasures of the Hereafter, and that we miss out on the pleasures and allurements of this world. On this occasion, my friend graduated from France, obtained a doctorate, lived with hippies, and began to deny everything.
He said to me sarcastically:
-You say: God exists, and the main basis of your proofs is the law of “causality” which states that every craft has a maker, every creation has a creator, and every existence has an originator. The fabric indicates the weaver, the drawing indicates the painter, the engraving indicates the engraver, and the universe, according to this logic, is the most eloquent proof of the Almighty God who created it.
We believe in and have faith in this Creator. By the same logic, do we not have the right to ask: Who created the Creator? Who created the God you speak of? Doesn't your own reasoning lead us to this conclusion, following the same law of causality? What is your opinion on this predicament, if you please? We say to him: Your question is flawed. There is no predicament, nor is there any need for it. You acknowledge that God is the Creator, then you ask, "Who created Him?" You make Him both Creator and created in the same sentence, and this is a contradiction. Another flaw in the question is that you imagine the Creator to be subject to the laws of His creation. Causality is a law for us, the children of time and space.
God, who created time and space, is necessarily above time and space, and it is not right for us to imagine Him bound by time and space or by the laws of time and space. God is the one who created the law of causality, so it is not permissible to imagine Him subject to the law of causality that He created. With this sophistry, you are like a puppet that moves by a spring and imagines that the human who made it must also move by a spring. If we say to it, "Rather, he moves of his own accord," it says, "It is impossible for anything to move of its own accord. I see in my world that everything moves by a spring." Similarly, you cannot imagine that God exists by Himself without a creator, simply because you see everything around you as needing a creator.
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0602/3734/8926/files/9789778713732_95f43bd3-0f2f-4c24-b762-7c2fac5bb732.jpg?v=1740787042
https://mokabook.net/en/products/%d8%ad%d9%88%d8%a7%d8%b1-%d9%85%d8%b9-%d8%b5%d8%af%d9%8a%d9%82%d9%89-%d8%a7%d9%84%d9%85%d9%84%d8%ad%d8%af
