It's a simple book, not very verbose, that speaks concisely about everything: the writers' attempts to rise above the forms of cultural siege they suffered, the repression and censorship that met their efforts, the Arab hero in Zionist writings and his image... Finally, he included a few poems as examples of resistance literature in Palestine, which I greatly appreciated as it introduced me to new writers. A valuable book, even though it is brief.
