Sofia's Secrets is a novel about love, shame, pain, and heartbreak. From the beginning, it draws us in to explore a dark past revealed by Uncle George to his niece Olivia after they return to their hometown of Castellorezo on a journey to scatter the ashes of her mother and grandmother.

The secrets of the family split are gradually revealed while Olivia is there. Although Uncle George struggles to expose his family's past, he is fully convinced that Olivia has the right to know.
