This book, which has a specific title: "Between Culture and Politics," aims primarily to raise a number of problems, which are closer to questions than to claiming to provide complete answers or solutions.
Indeed, the relationship between culture and politics is a major problem at this stage, because the many disappointments that have followed during the recent stages have created an ambiguous climate, and this climate has brought with it illusions, which requires opening a broad dialogue in order to reach a new formula that defines the relationship between culture and politics and between intellectuals and politicians.

What is said about culture and politics also applies to the relationship between media and culture, the role of intellectuals in the current era, the perspective on the Renaissance, its rise and fall, and the dramatic collapse of the Soviet Union and the socialist bloc without a political crisis or military defeat, as well as the impact of oil on the entire Arab region. These topics, and others, I felt should be presented as issues requiring further study and reflection, because it is through this approach that we can read events and phenomena calmly and objectively, paving the way for a better understanding and subsequent engagement with them.

The most complex and intricate issues can only be resolved by asking questions. Any answer, however well-intentioned, can only contain a part of the truth. The whole truth cannot be generated, nor can it be reached, except through the exchange of viewpoints, examining the solidity and coherence of the facts and their relationship to each other, and also seeing the multiple aspects.

The most that the material contained in this book aspires to is to pose the questions correctly, but the answer to them, and the sweetness, depends on the opinions and participation of others.
