Jumana, by Ahmed Al Hamdan... Jumana would gaze at the moon every day, perhaps. Her husband would look at the moon at that very moment, its edge embracing the distant sky. Her eyes were hazel, her lips prominent, her nose straight, her face white, speckled with light freckles scattered across her cheeks and certain parts of her neck. She had a slender figure and long gray hair, as if she were a girl from the sky casting a glance at the earth from behind the gray clouds of night.
