Chinese with an Emirati twist
Product details
At the urging of my friends and followers, who wanted to know more about the details of my life, I decided to begin writing about it. This includes the strange phases of my life from childhood to the present moment. After a wide-ranging social media poll about the book's title, my dear followers chose "Chinese with an Emirati Flavor," and I liked the title; I felt it expressed my situation: being of Chinese origin but Emirati at heart. This title marked my entry into the world of book writing. In the book, I started by talking about my mother's family, who were incredibly wealthy, and the lifestyle they led. Then I wrote about the enigmatic nature of my father's family. Because of his difficult childhood, he always avoided talking about his "bitter" upbringing, which took him to several countries outside of China, and how he tried to become self-reliant and build his own life as both a doctor and a pharmacist. The book covers my school years, my story with Arab customs and traditions, my transition to secondary and university studies, Islam, and my marriage to a Saudi woman from Asir, along with many other interesting and varied stories that I hope you will like.
