A lover between Bulaq and Dubai2
Product details
Sawsan stood on the balcony overlooking the neighborhood and the distant creek, her heart pounding. Night had fallen, plunging the houses into silence and tranquility, save for the few open windows illuminated by dim lanterns. She didn't know what had stirred her deepest feelings that evening, preventing her from sleeping. She felt a profound sadness and anxiety, the source of which she couldn't fathom. She gazed at the sky, its few stars scattered across the vastness of the night, and was overcome by the same feeling she had experienced in Egypt when she would retreat to her room by the Nile, listening to what seemed like the music of the heavens and the passing of a celestial figure that whispered to her, a figure she could barely discern. Her intuition had never failed her when something was about to happen, or when she sensed the omen of something looming on the horizon. But this time, she didn't know what the sky held in store for her. The sky was no longer the same as in Egypt, and there was no Nile to echo the fleeting presence of that elusive figure.
