The story of the siege of Lisbon
Product details
In October 1147, the Portuguese besieged Lisbon, which was then under Muslim rule, with the aim of liberating it from the Muslims. This historical event was addressed by the great Portuguese writer José Saramago in his novel *História Do Cerco De Lisboa* (The Story of the Siege of Lisbon), with his engaging style and remarkable skill, which earned him numerous awards, most notably the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1998.There was a manuscript, and it spoke of Islamic Lisbon and the Portuguese siege of it. The call to prayer was being recited in Lisbon, and the Portuguese forces were preparing to expel the Muslims from it.
The hero is a book corrector named "Raimundo Silva," whose heroism lies in the fact that he does not like history in its current form, and for this reason he decides to add a slight modification to this manuscript: he will change one word in the manuscript, which is the word "yes," and add "no" instead.
What will the date look like after this minor adjustment? Will it change much?
