Women also played a vital role, possessing great merit and a lofty status derived from the honor bestowed upon them by Islam. Among them—may God be pleased with them—were virtuous women who were instrumental in establishing the foundations of Islam, spreading its teachings, and confronting disbelief and polytheism. They also had a significant role in raising the Muslim youth who later became the driving force and the greatest engine of Islam.
