The question of how and when the events of this novel began cannot be easily answered. However, the murder of a young woman in Ramallah at the end of 2012 became the focal point of everything.
In the wake of the crime, Raouf, Nour, and Wissam realized that it would be the most important event in their lives, and would mark what came before and what came after.
It wasn't just a pivotal event in their lives; it was a moment that prompted Raouf to look back, to reinterpret the past in a new light. For Nour, it became the catalyst that propelled everything into open confrontation. And for Wissam, the crime was an unanswered question in his mind, one he couldn't bear.
Three young characters from the post-Second Palestinian Intifada generation live by choice in parallel lives with everything around them in terms of society, politics, and major issues. When the only intersection occurs as a result of a murder, another different version of their lives begins, followed by the narrative between past, present, and future, where the boundaries between them dissolve.
