The story begins with this chemist who lost his memory after a fire destroyed his laboratory. He seems to have lost his chemical knowledge as a result, but no one believes him, or dares to. Police officers bombard him with questions, his lawyer advises him to remain silent, and drug dealers pursue him. But he has one glimmer of his old world: the name of a girl called Desiree. Through this flash, he tries to recover the part of his memory that was burned away.
