But I must clarify from the outset, and to be honest with myself before being honest with you, that I do not claim for a single moment to have brought anything extraordinary to this book, nor do I possess anything that you do not, which would place me in the position of a teacher or a wise, knowledgeable sage. Nothing of the sort whatsoever. It suffices for me that I am like you, given the opportunity to share my thoughts and reflections, which stem from real experiences from which I have undoubtedly learned a great deal. I hope that these thoughts will illuminate your minds as they have illuminated mine, and ignite some positive feelings in your hearts, perhaps guiding you towards the paths of success, happiness, and contentment.
