Emile, a 26-year-old man, was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's. Doctors estimated his memory would not last more than two years, so Emile decided to embark on one last voyage, fleeing the hospital and the pity of his family and friends.

He posted an advertisement seeking a companion for this final journey. To his surprise, he received a response from a girl named Joan, whose only belongings were a backpack and a large black hat, with no explanation for her presence.

And so begins an amazing journey of beauty. At every turn of this journey, through encountering others and discovering oneself, joy, fear, friendship, and love are born, which pierce the shell of pain in Emile little by little.
