The colonel has no one to write to him.
Product details
Gabriel García Márquez wrote "No One Writes to the Colonel" during his stay in Paris, where he had arrived as a journalist with the secret intention of studying cinema, in the mid-1950s. However, the closure of the newspaper for which he worked as a reporter plunged him into poverty while he was revising and rewriting this extraordinary novel in three different versions. It was subsequently rejected by several publishers before finally being printed.
